Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring FEMA's success in performing its critical disaster response/emergency communications mission. Plans, manages, organizes and directs all disaster emergency communication services and activities for the Disaster Operations Directorate. Ensures that all applicable Federal, State and local laws, policies and regulations are enforced. Coordinates emergency communications responsibilities with Federal, State, local and tribal partners. Work requires evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior executive level managerial capability and directly related to experience in the development and operation of a modern, large, public safety, mission critical communications system and ability to operate mission critical communication systems in emergency/disaster environments.
